A voltmeter is an instrument used for measuring the electrical potential difference between two points in an electric circuit.

The voltage can be measured by allowing it to pass a current through a resistance; therefore, a voltmeter can be seen as a very high resistance ammeter. One of the design objectives of the instrument is to disturb the circuit as little as possible and hence the instrument should draw a minimum of electric current to operate. This is achieved by using a sensitive ammeter or microammeter in series with a high resistance.

A voltmeter may also be realized using a potentiometer, which is a length of uniform resistance material (wire or carbon film, for instance) and a “wiper” that can short-circuit any portion of the material, thereby changing effective resistance between the wiper and an end terminal of the potentiometer.

Another popular form of voltmeter is the electronic voltmeter, or vacuum tube voltmeter, frequently referred to as a VTVM. This kind of voltmeter uses a tube (or valve in British English) or transistor circuit to amplify the input voltage, which facilitates two objectives: increased sensitivity, and/or increased input impedance (this equipment usually has an input resistance of 10 to 20 megohms).

Satellite meter is for easy alignment of satellite dishes. Battery driven the meter finds a satellite, chosen from the menu. 32 transponders or 16 satellites can be stored at any time. From a set up menu the following features can be customised on the display, signal strength in numerical or dBuV, BER in % terms or numerical, carrier noise in dB, true BER after install, graph or logarithmic.

The satellite data is upgradeable from downloaded HEX files via our web site taking around 30 seconds to update, this feature is very useful for specialist applications like broadband Vsat installations.

Setting up and installing your own satellite TV system (whether portable satellite TV for travellers or fixed satellite TV for rural and outback areas) can be very enjoyable, rewarding AND can save you money.

The basic elements that make up a satellite TV system are:-

1- Satellite Dish
2- Satellite Dish Mount (portable or fixed is fine)
3- LNB (low noise block amplifier – goes on the arm of the dish)
4- Satellite Receiver (many brands and versions available –shop around for a suitable well priced model)
5- Satellite Finder (analogue and digital varieties – analogue though generally cheaper)
6- Satellite Charts

Parking Meter is a device used to collect money in exchange for the right to park a vehicle in a particular place for a limited amount of time. Parking meters can be used by municipalities as a tool for enforcing their integrated on-street parking policy, usually related to their traffic and mobility management policies.

By inserting coins into a currency detector slot or swiping a credit card or smartcard into a slot, and turning a handle (or pressing a key), a timer is set within the meter. Some places allow payment by mobile phone (to remotely record payments for subsequent checking and enforcement). A dial or display on the meter indicates how much time is remaining.

New meters, like those from IntelliPark in Bethesda MD, feature sonar-based vehicle detection. These meters zero out the time on a meter when a car exits a space and won’t allow parkers to meter feed when they have exceeded the time alloted for a space.

Measure is a software which can save you a lot of time and improve your productivity, one word: help you earn more $:-) One more good news: FREE upgrade for life! Simply, it is a software dealing with all kinds of units conversion derived from metrology, such as “100 degrees(F) = ? … 83 meters = 6 feet and 0. … 047 inch = 6 feet (Is Mike Tyson 1. … I remember his stature is less than 6 feet:-) 5. … feet and inches”, “5. … If not, I’m sure it will help you a lot ^_^ Oh, I almost just forget to announce the answers -(: 100 degrees(F) = 37.
