Not long ago I bought a used 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee quite cheap. I was hoping that it will be nice and cool, but it was a real disaster. Still there are some good things in it, first of all it is big and the body is in perfect shape, and also the seating feels comfortable, however as a whole my 1994 Grand Cherokee jeep is awful. Now I am sure that I would have been better off with a sensible Honda Civic or anything of the kind, instead of buying the Jeep that I now consider as the worst ever purchase I’ve made.

Used Grand Cherokee
The thing I want to begin with is the monstrous gas consumption of this SUV. I knew it will not be as for a Ford Fiesta, but getting only 13 miles per gallon is a bit too much for me, and it only makes me think about a shot engine. What comes next it the unsafe rolling of this totally unbalanced clumsy Jeep, along with its impossible shocks. With this 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee you are actually putting your life to the risk of turning over with every turn you make at a speed greater than 20 miles per hour. What I can say for sure is that I should not have rushed into that without having a detailed check on SUVs, which would have showed me what the possible and most common problems might be. And the only reason I skipped that part for was the thrilling price they gave me for the car

The construction and design of the Grand Cherokee led to a 105.9 inch wheelbase, 4.5 inches longer than the Cherokee leading to more legroom for rear passengers, also the Grand Cherokee was only available as a four door model.

The engine for the Grand Cherokee was the Jeep 190 BHP, six cylinders 4.0 liter and towards the end of 1993 a 5.2 liter V8 with 220 BHP was launched. This larger engine gave a great advantage over the Grand Cherokee competitors and also allowed for a towing capability of some 6,500 pounds.

In 1994 the Grand Cherokee saw refinements made including all round disc brakes on the Limited, rear seats gained headrests, power sunroof and upgraded stereo system. The base model was renamed “SE” and side impact beams were fitted in the doors improving crash protection.

New Grand Cherokee
The 2010 Cherokee’s exterior, features a seven-slot grille and styling cues. The grille is painted in body color and an elective chrome grille is also on the offer as well. The conventional exterior heated mirrors are available with a choice of auto-dimming, and memory mirrors. The exterior features of the SRT8 are a dissimilar front along with larger cooling ducts and air dams. Some additional features are the conventional 17-inch alloy wheels, optional 17-inch aluminum wheels, optional 18-inch aluminum chrome-clad wheels, optional sunroof, and optional 20-inch wheels.

The 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee has two powertrains matched to a five-speed automatic transmission. The Hemi V-8 engine relates cylinder deactivation and variable-valve timing provide high fuel economy. This jeep uses a 6.1-liter Hemi V-8 engine for 420-horsepower, but doesn’t provide the feature of cylinder deactivation; so this may be a downside. However, there are several new features seen on the 2010 Cherokee that make it a promising SUV.
